Retailer of the Month: The Base Camp – Helena & Billings, Mont.
The Base Camp in Helena, Mont. used to be a movie theater. Now it’s much more exciting (if we do say so ourselves)! The outdoor lovers completely renovated the space by filling in the below-grade seating areas, swapping out popcorn machines for iMacs, and opening up the darkened space with beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows to allow natural light to pour onto the retail floor.
Located right next to the Continental Divide and many of Montana’s fantastic rivers, the Base Camp community enjoys trail running, hiking and mountain biking. On the outskirts of town, climbing, fishing and floating are just minutes away. The Base Camp team loves to hit the Missouri, Blackfoot and Smith Rivers and the 75+ miles of trail around the shop as they enjoy every aspect of living in Big Sky country.
